How it started vs How it’s going.

How it started vs How it’s going.

To be honest I have been thinking about this post all week, because how do you really put the last year into words?! I mean what a welcome to my 30s?! Although, I feel this year deserves to be remembered more than the year of the pandemic and shouldn’t be wished away so fast, because let’s be real it went fast enough on its own.

This was the year our family grew with the addition of the sweetest boy. Carson continues to be the best reminder to slow down to enjoy every moment and every snuggle. #CarsonMarkP.

This was the year we saw our 3 year old adapt to a world of change, through flourishing at a new school and becoming the best big sister ever. #GraceeRae.

This was the year Justin and I got more time back with each other and with our family, whether it was through quarantine and/or the opportunity to work from home. We are so thankful for jobs that believe in us, allowing us to balance family and a career especially during this unpredictable time.

In our big world – yes, this was the year of a pandemic, but it was also the year where we had all sorts of tough conversations and learned how important it is to love one another. It was a year glass ceilings were broken and I can look my baby girl in the eye to tell her she can do anything she sets her mind to! There has been so much that it will be full chapter in future history books.

So far, my 30s have been quite the story to tell, to say the least. But the Lord continues to answer our nightly prayer of keeping us and our loved ones HAPPY HEALTHY & SAFE. For this, I am so very grateful. He continues to give me hope that we will get through this and that there is so much more in store, so bring it on 31! Thank you for all the birthday wishes and to all those who helped me celebrate! 🎉
